The celebration began with a clean-up exercise led by students and staff, underscoring the Campus’s commitment to responsibility and service. The official launch was chaired by Dr. Wiafe-Akenten, Vice-Dean of Students, with Prof. Charity Sylvia Akotia, Chair of the City Campuses Implementation Team, serving as Special Guest of Honour.  Reflecting on the significance of the celebration, Dr. Wiafe-Akenten highlighted the growing confidence of students in the Campus, attributing it to smaller class sizes, interactive teaching, and a close-knit academic community.

Prof. Bernardin Senadza, the outgoing Acting Principal, warmly welcomed participants, encouraging full participation in the week’s activities and commending the organisers for their initiative.

While commending the initiative, Dr. Wiafe-Akenten urged students to use artificial intelligence tools responsibly, warning against overreliance on platforms such as ChatGPT and stressing the importance of critical thinking.

Recreational activities added vibrancy to the week, including aerobics sessions and a football match. The celebrations concluded with a thanksgiving service at Bethel Methodist Church, Takoradi, during which outgoing staff were honoured and new staff officially welcomed.
